BANGKOK HAIR CLINIC

Bangkok Hair Clinic is a new One-stop service Hair Transplant center located in Bangkok’s downtown, Sukhumvit 49, designed by Choenfun. Main concept for the clinic is to create a sense of comfort and relaxation to all guests. The contrast between the interior which creates the sense of calmness and the exterior context of the most diverse and busy area in Bangkok is a challenge in this project.

Choenfun designed each space toward the experience of the clinic’s guest. The guest is welcome with a lounging area with a side pantry to give out the sense of calmness and relaxation. After the first impression, there is a reception counter for any information needed, the reception is not directly face-to-face with the lounge area to give privacy to the guest. Consulting room, Clinical room and Preparation room can enter from the lounge space and then the preparation room will act as a privacy hall before entering the operating room.

Concept of texture and rhythm of planes play an important role in space. Each wall and partition has been designed to give a different sense of depth to make the 150 square meter space seem larger. Material selection between glass and plaster wall was the balancing of both natural light and privacy-degree. Operating room is oriented to receive an indirect natural light so the brightness can be more flat and constant through the day, where the lounge area will receive a natural diffused light which is filtered by the half transparency and half opaque glass partition which give out a sense of ease. Light has been controlled to match with the program and the plaster texture wall that gives a more dramatic experience to the guest. 

This project manifests the idea of how a premium boutique clinic can be most welcoming to the guest and how to use space efficiently through the use of different kinds of glass, plaster texture, and the layer of partition. Bangkok Hair Clinic is a clinic that gives calmness to the guest and shows transparency of the operation.
